A liquor shop in Marburg was robbed of cash and cigarettes by three armed men recently.
Police spokesperson, Captain Petros Mpinge said three men entered the liquor outlet in Deepvale Road at about 15.30.
“The men robbed the store of cash and cigarettes. One man held a woman staff member at gunpoint while the other two ransacked the store. The owner was assaulted on the head and had to receive medical attention. The suspects fled in a white VW Polo with an ND registration.”
It is believed that a staff member hid inside a fridge during the robbery.
Port Shepstone Detective Service is investigating a case of business robbery. No arrests have been made.
