No bail again for doctor in rape case

Case postponed for judgement on the bail application.

The 42-year-old doctor who is facing a charge of rape, appeared in the Port Shepstone Magistrate’s Court last Friday.

He was once again denied bail and the case was postponed to Monday, September 26 for judgement on the bail application. He remains in custody.

Port Shepstone Saps opened a case of rape after a woman (20) said she was raped by the doctor at Port Shepstone Regional Hospital on August 28.

The woman had gone to the hospital to receive treatment for wounds when the incident occurred.

The doctor was suspended following his arrest.
