Police are asking for the public's assistance as there are many people from the eastern cape who settle /visit informal settlements on the South Coast.
The Mthatha-based Serious Organised Crime Investigation of the Hawks is asking the public to assist in locating the man (pictured) as it is believed he can be of help in unlocking a murder case.
Port Shepstone police spokesperson, Captain Petros Mpinge said they are asking for the public’s assistance as there are many people from the Eastern cape who settle/visit informal settlements on the South Coast.
Captain Yolisa Mgolodela of the Hawks said on the evening of July 29, it is alleged that the deceased Sergeant Zukiswa Cynthia Menyani (53) who was attached to Dalasile police station was at her place of residence in Ntaka Locality, Ngxoki Administration Area, in Ngcobo when two unknown men arrived and fired shots at her with pistols, fatally wounding her.
“Five cartridges and one bullet head were picked up at the crime scene. The motive for the murder is still unknown and no arrests have been effected yet,” said Mgolodela, adding that anyone who can shed light on the whereabouts of the gentleman in the picture can contact Detective Warrant Officer Melikhaya Jacob on 071 481 2903 or call Crime Stop hotline on 08600 10111 or send a message to 32211 or alternatively report to the nearest police station.
“All the information received will be treated with the strictest confidentiality,” she said.
