Keep vehicles behind locked gates

Consider fitting a tracker in your vehicle.

Local police are requesting motor vehicle owners to ensure that vehicles are parked behind locked gates at all times to prevent theft of motor vehicles.

“Vehicles that are parked on pavements create easy opportunity for criminals to either steal or break into them,” explained Scottburgh Saps communications officer, Captain Adam Francis. “Trackers that are fitted in vehicles are aiding police investigations with arrests, recoveries and also in locating the directions that criminals are travelling, so with this in mind vehicle owners are requested to consider fitting them.”

Scottburgh Saps encourages the public to also report all criminal activities and suspicious behaviour to the nearest police station or Crime Stop on 086 0010111 where you may ask to remain anonymous.
