Murder investigation after major shooting at Scottburgh offramp

Official police reports on the shootings are awaited.

Police are investigating several murders after a serious shooting incident at the Scottburgh offramp yesterday afternoon (January 19) at around 17:00.

The shooting is believed to be taxi related and has resulted in four deaths already.

The vehicle which was shot at was riddled with bullet holes and numerous rounds were found at the crime scene.

During the early hours of this morning (January 20), a second shooting occurred in KwaCele resulting in one death. It is also alleged that this was taxi related.

An official police report is awaited for both matters.
