Man arrested after human body parts found

It is believed that a fight ensued between the two friends that ended in murder.

A man who was arrested in Flagstaff in the Eastern Cape on January 6 appeared in the Port Shepstone Magistrate’s Court recently, for the possession of human body parts.

Police spokesperson, Captain Petros Mpinge, said the man was arrested after police received information in connection with a murder case which occurred in Mkholombe, Bhobhoyi.

It is believed that a fight ensued between two friends, one of which was Simlindile Mkula (36).

Mkula was killed in the fight and his body, with multiple stab wounds, was found by a neighbour two days later.

It is believed the suspect had removed certain body parts and fled to Flagstaff. It was there that he was arrested by police.
