An alert resident in Marburg stopped two men in their tracks after they tried to sell a stolen motorbike on Monday last week.
The resident noticed they were suspicious-looking and he confronted them.
He took a photo of the bike and posted it on a Marburg security WhatsApp group. Within seconds the owner of the bike identified it, and Lazer 911 Security responded to 6th Avenue, Marburg.
The suspects were detained and handed over to police. The motorbike was stolen from Croton Road in Marburg.
Fathima Moosa, Port Shepstone Executive CPF secretary thanked the Marburg resident for his quick-thinking and posting on the WhatsApp group. “Your eyes and ears in suspicious activities in the area are important. We need people like this Marburg resident in all areas of the South Coast.”
