Public urged not to enter crime scenes

Contamination may occur with interference.

Scottburgh Saps is appealing to the public not to enter any crime scene as contamination occurs.

“A crime scene is managed by the Saps and its experts,” said Scottburgh Saps communications officer, Captain Adam Francis.

“Crime scenes which are inside dwellings, structures and occupational premises must not be touched.”

Saps will take over all crime scenes and no one is allowed to enter it. Reoccupation of the premises will only take place upon the instructions of the crime scene manager.
