Scottburgh retail store burgled
The burglary scene was discovered on Nelson Mandela Day last week.
Police are investigating a case of business burglary of a Scottburgh retail store which happened last week.
When the complainant arrived at the store on the morning of Nelson Mandela Day (July 18) to open the store at 05:45, it was discovered that there was a break-in.
“The safe was broken into and cash removed,” said Scottburgh Saps communications officer, Captain Adam Francis.
“Cigarettes, cell phones, electronics and cosmetics were stolen.”
Detective Sergeant Mohamed Bhaijee of Scottburgh Detective Service is investigating the case and can be contacted on 039 9781900 should anyone have information which may assist in solving this case.
“An appeal is made by Saps that alarm systems are installed in business and private residences so that security updates are conducted on any activated sites by the responsible alarm company,” added Francis.
