Teen’s body recovered in Mzimkhulu River

Ixopo Saps is investigating the drowning.

Search teams have recovered the body of an 18-year-old man who drowned in the Mzimkhulu River in Ixopo last Wednesday afternoon.

Members from Port Shepstone Search and Rescue, K9 Search and Rescue, Durban K9 Search and Rescue, the Durban Airwing, and Ixopo police returned to the river this week to continue their search efforts.

Dedicated search and rescue teams at the successful recovery operation in Ixopo.

The body was handed over to the Ixopo Saps for further investigation.
