Still no sign of missing pensioner last seen at Scottburgh main beach
Lizwi Simpiwe Mgeyane has been missing since September 19.
Renegades Search and Rescue together with the Mgeyane family are appealing for public assistance to find Lizwi Simpiwe Mgeyane, also known as Giggs, who has been missing since September 19.
Mgeyane (65) was last seen at Scottburgh main beach.
“We request beachgoers, fishermen, divers and beach management to be extra vigilant in the search for Mgeyane. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing swimming trunks and carrying a beach towel, walking towards the beach,” said Dawn Gounden of Renegades Search and Rescue.
Gounden said even the smallest piece of information can make a significant difference in their search.
“If you are walking along the shoreline, fishing, or out at sea, please remain alert for anything that may assist in locating him. Your awareness and cooperation can help bring closure to a family in need. We thank the public for their continued support and vigilance. Should you notice anything unusual, please do not hesitate to contact me on 0747125855,”she appealed.
