Missing Mtwalume woman found alive

Police found the woman in Hibberdene.

Nonhlanhla Shebi (34) of Cabhane area in Mtwalume, who was reported missing on May 15 after she allegedly had a fight with the father of her children, Sizwe Lushaba, has been found alive.

According to Saps Ugu District Communication, Shebi was found in Hibberdene walking with friends on June 25.

“She was spotted by someone related to Lushaba, who then went to the police station. The investigating officer conducted a search, found her and took her home.”

Shebi’s mother, Hlengiwe Shebi had blamed Lushaba for her daughter’s disappearance as he had been the last person to see her.

Meanwhile, Lushaba had not disputed that he had a fight with his partner on that night of her disappearance.

He said she had run out of the house leaving her phone behind, and he had no idea of her whereabouts.

Nombuso Sibisi of Women of Umthwalume, a non-profit organsiation, said she was glad that Shebi has been found as she had been helping the family search for her.
