In addition to his prison sentence, he was declared unfit to possess a firearm.

A 56-year-old man has been sentenced to 15 years’ imprisonment for the murder of a man in Gamalakhe nearly four years ago.

Mhlabunzima Aaron Jalubane was convicted of murder in the Port Shepstone Regional Court last Thursday. In addition to his prison sentence, he was declared unfit to possess a firearm.

The conviction relates to the fatal shooting of 38-year-old Sibusiso Magundane Nxasana in Robert Shezi Road, Gamalakhe, on September 5, 2021.

The court heard that Jalubane shot and killed the man after an argument.
