Tuning in: Pennington Conservancy meets on Saturday
Community news and events for Pennington and surrounding areas.
A really unfortunate incident occurred at the weekend.
A local restaurant was burgled last Saturday night. On viewing the CCTV footage, it was noted that the burglar was someone the restaurant owner knows.
A massive source of betrayal. I am so sorry about this. When approached, the owner said, “These are the things sent to test us. We have to just rise above it and go forward.” So brave.
A special general meeting will be held for Pennington Conservancy at Relton Hall this Saturday (6th) at 14:00. Please make every effort to attend.
Mary McKenzie, with the assistance of Linda Stead, has kindly agreed to chair the meeting and oversee the voting process. Voting will be done by secret ballot, so bring a pen.
Grateful thanks to Constable D Moodley for kind, caring and efficient service at Scottburgh Saps on July 30.
Recycling takes place today (3rd) at Relton Hall. Items sorted as follows: All cardboard flattened, office paper, clear plastic bottles, coloured plastic i.e. detergent bottles, yoghurt containers. Soft plastic i.e. bread bags, etc. Glass bottles and jars. Tin and aluminium cans.
