New viewing deck for Palm Beach

Pam Beach conservancy are putting their village on the map.

The official opening of the viewing platform in Palm Beach took place last Wednesday.

The event was well attended, with residents being entertained by Trevor Henning (unplugged).

Trevor Houlson, chairman of the Palm Beach Conservancy gave the opening remarks.

The event’s highlight, was the unveiling of a plaque to honour John and Mandy Dutton, who have always been huge supporters of the conservancy’s efforts.

Kim Houlson, secretary Palm Beach Conservancy, said the community wishes John a speedy recover, and the conservancy is setting up a collection fund to assist in getting him a motorised wheelchair.

The deck was built by Houlson, and is likely to stand the test of time. The community is thanked for making the event possible.
