The Port Shepstone Girl Guides recently hosted a fabulous tea for special guests in celebration of Women’s Month.
The gem table was hosted by Girl Guides (left, from front) Clarissa Niemandt, Kaylee Govender, Kay de Jager and Natalie Ramdeen with (back, from left) Chelsea Pillay, Cindy Francis and Gabi de Jager.
The girls were divided into groups and were tasked to host a ‘tea party’ for their invited guests, who are considered as ‘inspirational women’ in the community.
It was roses and delicious treats for Tess-Lyn Green-Thompson (far back), Cloey Aspeling, Tamishka Appanna, Skye van der Merwe, Amber Jantjes and Tae Smith with Shamin Maharaj, Devasree Govender and Lizelle Smith in front.
Each table had a different fabulous theme, and the girls must be praised for their creativity and attention to detail.

The evening was filled with delicious treats (yes, cucumber sandwiches, scones and cream and samoosas) good cups of tea and coffee.
The Girl Guides put on a lovely spread for their special invited guests.
The girls also did a sterling job in singing ‘Can a woman’.
