ANC eThekwini councillor gunned down in Mvutshini
Law enforcement is on the hunt for the perpetrators.
An African National Congress (ANC) eThekwini councillor, Mnqobi ‘Gah’ Molife was shot dead in Mvutshini near Margate on Sunday (September 11).
It is suspected that the murder is related to politics.
Molife was with his partner at the time of the incident.
Provincial police spokesperson Brigadier Jay Naicker said suspects forced a door open and entered a room.
“The victim was shot and fatally wounded and his partner was unharmed during the shooting.”
In a statement issued by the ANC, the party assured the Molife family that law enforcement agencies have been mobilised to track down the perpetrators.
