Face-to-face bridge back at long last
Well done to those who emerged from their comfort zones.
Serious bridge returned to Margate Country Club in September.
For the first time in years, bridge players enjoyed a full face-to-face tournament rather than online bridge.
The tournament, which attracted 36 players, was organised by Eric Annegarn from the Lower South Coast Bridge Association.
Together with cash prizes for the winners, there were tons of fun prizes donated by generous sponsors.
These included prizes for the first player to win a trick with the two of clubs, as well as the ‘longest day’.
The club put on a great lunch and cocktail party, a fitting reward for everyone who emerged from their comfort zones.
