Learners from Deyi Primary School recently visited the South Coast Herald for a behind-the-scenes look at the world of local newspapers.

The large groups of learners were introduced to the South Coast Herald, South Coast Fever, Eyethu and Mid South Coast Mail, learning about the different publications and the communities they serve.

The visit was filled with questions, and the curious learners were keen to find out how stories are found, written and published.

Their enthusiasm and willingness to ask questions made for an engaging visit and gave the learners a glimpse into the people and processes behind the local news they read.
