The 10th edition of the Ugu Film Festival which was set to be launched on Thursday, September 22 has been postponed.
This comes after the founder, Senzo Zindela embarked on a full rebranding of the event.
Zanele Nhlapo, Festival Director said: “We appreciate the community’s unconditional support for the Ugu Film Festival over the years, however, as part of our commitment to ensure that the event grows from strength to strength, while giving you value for your time, the founder has embarked on a full rebranding strategy with a new experienced executive team at the helm of the project,” said Nhlapho.
She said a consensus was reached to postpone the event until further notice and the community will be notified about the new dates for the opening night and the event as soon as possible.
