Wet landing for motorist in St Mike’s [PHOTOS]

It is alleged the vehicle could have been driven at high speed to have landed so far from the main road.

Paramedics responded to an accident scene in the early hours of the morning today (October 6).

Shawn Herbst of Netcare 911 said it appeared that the driver had lost control of the car on Marine Drive in St Mike’s and had veered through a parking lot and landed on its side in the river.

Glen Preston of Medevac added that the vehicle hit a tree on the way down the bank and into the water.

“The man sustained minor injuries and refused treatment,” he added.
