Window boxes are great for both houses and apartments. Plants in a window box gives a different perspective, from inside and the outside compared to them in a garden.
You will be spoilt for choice on the different types of plants to include in a window box, such as petunias, geraniums, zinnias, nasturtiums and begonias.
Fillers can include ivy and heather.
If impatiens is your plant of choice, place them in a shady location, where they will do well.
