Abafana bakwaMgojo impresses Department of Labour staff with a spectacular Maskandi performance.

Heritage Day is not just about braaiing and eating traditional food, however, in the workplace it is celebrated by showing off your traditional clothing, embracing culture and serving the community in a dignified manner.

Entertaining the staff at the Department of Labour Port Shepstone office are Abafana bakwaMgojo. They are (from left) Nkosinathi Sibisi, LethuMcebo Mthembu, Siphamandla Mbhele, Andile Ngcobo and Gcina Mthembu.

The staff at the Department of Labour Port Shepstone office came to work in their traditional outfits, served the community and later enjoyed performances from a local Maskandi group, Ábafana bakaMgojo, last Friday.

The staff also shared a variety of traditional dishes which they prepared at home.
