Ugu appoints municipal manager

It will be on a five-year performance based, fixed term contract.

Dr Elliot Michael Sibusiso Ntombela has been appointed by Ugu District Municipality as the new municipal manager.

Ntombela has been the acting municipal manager since July 2021, after DD Naidoo was suspended and subsequently resigned.

In a statement issued by Ugu, Ntombela started in his new post on October 1 and it will be on a five-year performance based, fixed term contract.

“As head of administration, he will be responsible and accountable for functions provided for in the Local Government Systems Act.”
