At the last activities session of the month members of Art by the Sea renewed their knowledge of mixing the three basic colours (blue, yellow and red), with black and white added, for painting.
It is astounding to realise that all colours originate from these five colour tubes!
For the following month the main focus of the club will be to equip members with the knowledge to do a proper portrait.
Facial features (ears, eyes, noses and mouths, as well as facial construction) will be demonstrated by artist Nadia Hartman on October 4 and 11.
Artist Marianna Radley will entertain members with an introduction to and practising of the Ink and Bleach technique on October 18.
Local artists who wish to join the club, are welcome to submit samples of their artworks to club chairman Johann du Toit on Whatsapp 072 60375178 for evaluation.
