Lighting is more than just overhead fixtures and lamps. Other than functional lighting use pops of illumination to give your home a glow and a personal touch.
It’s a good idea to change the lightbulbs in fixtures used often, such as in the kitchen or living room for energy-efficient ones.
Also, consider adding lampshades. Shades lighter in colour diffuse light in a wider circle. A darker shade concentrates the light, focusing it on a surface.
While beautiful lighting is important, safety and convenience are concerns too. Install a scone or a matching set at a dark entrance or a garage door. You will not only stop fumbling for keys, but feel safer too.
