Home Improver: Tips to refresh your bathroom

Declutter your bathroom regularly, keep the good stuff, recycle or donate what you don’t need.

Also, bring in some fresh scents – floral, citrus or herbal hand soaps and candles.

New linens will add some freshness, perhaps a new set of towels in your favourite colour or stick to neutrals with bright whites.

If you have decluttered, add a storage basket or shelf to display items, and keep everything in its place. A lovely linen basket to hide dirty laundry is a must.

Get rid of old bath mats and replace with something colourful or trendy.

Add some greenery, it will bring life back to your bathroom. Place on the vanity or shelf, hang from a wall or in a corner.

If you have an ordinary vanity mirror, replace it with a something more modern, and turn it into a focal point.

Add new light and water fixtures, if it’s costly, consider refinishing the old ones by painting them or spraying with rust resistant metallic paints.

Consider painting your bathroom, especially if you are budget conscious, paint the vanity cabinets or an accent wall.

There are many options, do a little research, and shop around.
