Snake catcher Sarel van der Merwe has received many calls in the last week or so.
- Last week, Sarel retrieved a black mamba from a bedroom in Umzumbe. Once the snake was spotted, the homeowners quickly closed the bedroom door and waited for Sarel to arrive the following morning to remove it.

- A juvenile green mamba in Palm Beach was found inside a log cabin. The owners couldn’t take a proper photo to send to Sarel, but he responded and the snake turned out to be a juvenile green mamba. Sarel said it wasn’t easy to get the green mamba out from between the planks and logs of the log cabin.
* Second time lucky?
Sarel recently went to Murchison for a green mamba in a small home. But when he got there, it disappeared.
The home owners phoned him again when they spotted it again inside their house, and luckily he got there in time to remove it.
