Quad biker tumbles six metres down steep embankment

His biking partner, who was with him at the time, managed to raise the alarm.

A man lost control of his quad bike, resulting in a roll-over some 15 kilometres inland in the Umzumbe area last  Sunday (November 6).

Netcare 911 responded, and found the biker had fallen six metres down a steep embankment.

His biking partner, who was with him at the time managed to raise the alarm.

Shawn Herbst of Netcare 911, said that when medics arrived on scene they found the patient in severe pain with suspected spinal injuries.

The man was treated for his injuries by a Netcare 911 emergency care practitioner and transported by ambulance to hospital.
