Margate police to patrol beach on UTV bikes
Margate SAPS will be conducting more beach patrols on the beach on their new fleet of UTV bikes
Members of Margate Saps were elated to receive UTV bikes recently, to make their beach patrols easier.
Ugu District Saps spokesperson Captain Petros Mpinge said the UTV bikes were procured for Margate Saps and will be utilised for beach patrols, as well as patrols in the rural areas.
“The bikes will be of convenience for members, especially when they are called to areas where our vehicles cannot reach, the officers will use the UTV bikes on rough terrain, “Mpinge added.
