New pedestrian bridge for Boboyi
KwaNgwabe Bridge will be beneficial to community and school children
The community of Boboyi, under the traditional leadership of Inkosi Sazi Ndwalane was elated to witness the official handover of the KwaNgwabe pedestrian bridge by Ray Nkonyeni Municipality mayor, Skhumbuzo Mqadi and his leadership on Monday this week.
Municipal spokesperson Simon April said during the construction of the bridge, about 13 jobs were created, and the bridge will be of benefit to the community and school children alike.

He said the total cost for the construction was R2.2-million. It was built with steel trusses, has a five-metre high concrete deck, two concrete pillars and a 42 metre span. “It also includes gabion protection works, a concrete walkway and a water diverting surface,” said April.
