Friday plagued with 3 accidents on South Coast roads

There were at least three incidents on our roads yesterday (Friday).

Friday (December 2) was a busy day for paramedics on the South Coast.

In one incident, the driver of a vehicle lost control and it overturned multiple times on Izotsha Road, Shelly Beach, at about 22.30. Kwazulu Private Ambulance Service responded and found two people had sustained serious injuries and a further person had sustained minor injuries.

Chantell Botha of Kwazulu Private Ambulance Service said the patients were treated on scene before being transported to hospital for further treatment.

In a separate incident yesterday evening, one person sustained minor injuries in a collision with a Saps vehicle on the N2 near Umtentweni.

Earlier on Friday, a crash occurred on Rethman Drive, Umtentweni, at around 12.30. Glen Preston of Med-Evac said a mother and her daughter (14) were taken to hospital for treatment. “The two occupants from other vehicle were assessed and treated by MI7 Ambulance Service,” he said.
