Close call for panelbeaters as vehicle catches fire in Margate

The excellent teamwork was praised.

A fire at a panelbeating business in Margate was quickly and safely put out on Tuesday night last week.

It could have been worse, but wasn’t thanks to the teamwork displayed by Fidelity ADT, the RNM fire department, certain members of the community, and other security partners. The speedy intervention prevented any further damage to property.

Charnel Hattingh, Head of Marketing and Communications at Fidelity Services Group, said a message via the local community group was received at around 21:00, regarding a vehicle that was on fire at a panelbeating premises. A team was immediately dispatched to assist.

“The vehicle fire was safely extinguished thanks to the rapid response and collective efforts of several security stakeholders. What a wonderful example of effective teamwork,” concluded Hattingh.
