Buy a light in memory of a loved one
The trees are being displayed at three hospice shops.
Every Christmas, Khanya Hospice gives the public an opportunity to honour their loved ones who have died via its Tree of Lights.
People can purchase a ‘light’ in someone’s memory, write their name on a card and hang it on a Christmas tree in one of three hospice shops either in Pennington, Scottburgh or Amanzimtoti.
“Due to the theft of our electrical lights and cables, we cannot have it in our hospice gardens anymore like we used to do, so our next best offer is to put the cards in our shops where people can come in and leave their messages for all to see,” said Neil McDonald, CEO of Khanya Hospice.
Those wanting to participate in this annual tradition are requested to make a donation of R50 or more in memory of their loves ones.
“We thank everyone who has been supporting our Tree of Lights, and continue to do so.”
