Tuning in: Festive season wishes to all
Community news and events for Pennington and surrounding areas.
Wishing all those who celebrate a very, very merry Christmas.
Welcome to the holidaymakers. We wish you a wonderful stay in our piece of paradise.
Tidy Towns Pennington is begging for help for donations towards the repair of the Pennington beach deck. Any local companies, or even bigger corporate businesses that have access to funds for donations, let them know. Or let us know and we can make contact with them.
Many companies have a budget for charitable donations or for their BEE accreditation, The Pennington Conservancy is a registered NPO if a company needs a Section 18A certificate. This is a big project and the cost simply cannot be absorbed by local companies. P&G Construction has invested a considerable amount of labour and materials. We would also like to turn our humble deck into a whale viewing attraction for next year’s whale migration.
The Umdoni Retirement Village is holding a New Year’s Eve dance party in its hall. The cost is R70 per person and BYO. Children U12 enter for free. This is the first time in several years that the event is being held, and singles and families are welcome. Tables of 10 to 12 are available. A fun evening is planned with loads of prizes for games and fun events. Doors open at 19:00 with background music followed by live music by Keith Austin from 20:00 to midnight. Bookings are essential, call 076 5418610.
A Solstice Night Market is being held at The Range on December 21 from 15:00 to 19:00. Stallholders contact 078 0745599.
