An appeal is made to the public by Saps to be vigilant and not to become a victim of criminality.
In order to do this, one can adhere to the following:
• Do not carry large amounts of cash, use alternate methods of payments such as debit cards.
• Use alternate days and times when depositing cash and don’t use the same branded vehicle all the time.
• It is advisable that a cash management company be utilised to do your banking.
• Do not pay cash to the employees, instead do EFT or wage accounts provided by the bank.
• Stokvel managers are asked to ensure the date, venue and time of payments are not leaked to criminals.
