Pet owners warned of possible theft ring on South Coast
Safeguard your pets, so they are not easily accessible, as a possible syndicate is operating on the South Coast.
There has been a noticeable increase in missing pets reported between Hibberdene and Marina Beach.
It has come to the Herald’s attention that pets are reportedly stolen, pet owners are then contacted to pay large sums of cash for the animal’s safe return.
A recent incident of this nature occurred in the Marina Beach area. A missing dog was luckily tracked down and found, but only after some investigation.
Owners are urged to keep their pets safe at all times, and not to trust anyone with their pets.
They also need to report any stolen pets or give any information to Colonel Kobus Barnard.
