Khanya Hospice thanks all its loyal supporters and the general public for standing with them during very challenging times.
“As a NGO, we are not government-funded and the continued increase in the fuel price has had a direct effect on our finances,” explained CEO Neil McDonald.
“We need to put petrol in our vehicles to be able to do our work – we do home based care – and to get to our patients, we do need reliable cars too.”
The team is grateful to those who have helped make this possible in the past year and ask the public to assist them with the same this year.
“We love what we are doing, and we do see some very ill and terminal patients all the time in a huge area and the staff never complains,” added nursing manager Sr Sue Van Rijsbergen.
