New role for hobby club’s Carl

The club takes in members from various parts of the province.

The South Coast’s Carl Coetzee from the Durban War Gaming Club (DWGC) recently attended the club’s AGM where he was promoted to a social media and advertising post.

The AGM was held in Durban last week after three years of being unable to host one due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and it was well attended by most of the paid card carrying DWGC members and non DWGC members.

This is a hobby club that is made up of like-minded individuals who enjoy playing various table top based war games such as Games Workshop’s Warhammer series of games such as Warhammer 40k. The club is based in Durban, however entry is not limited, as gamers from around KwaZulu-Natal are welcome.

“Our members reside in different parts of the province and DWGC runs events in different locations such as Westville and Kloof,” said Coetzee.

As part of his new position, he will be working with the main committee to promote war gaming and other tabletop gaming events held throughout the province.
