#PowerToThePeople supporters stand strong in Scottburgh
Local supporters braced the harsh weather on the day.
Not even the rain could dampen the spirits of the local Democratic Alliance members and residents who came out to take a stand against Eskom’s 18.65% electricity tariff increase last week. Many folk, tired of the never-ending loadshedding and unfair electricity price increases, stood their ground on Wednesday last week.

Groups across the country – and locally at Umzinto, Park Rynie and Scottburgh traffic lights section – displayed a show of strength, displaying placards expressing their feelings about the increase and loadshedding in general. The local group was pleased to received the support of many motorists, who honked car horns in support of the cause – #PowerToThePeople.
