ABLAZE: Messages of support flood social media after restaurant fire [WATCH]

Fortunately, no one was injured.

Messages of support have inundated social media after Flavours Restaurant in Ramsgate caught a blaze on Tuesday night. The cause of the fire is unknown at this stage. Restaurant owner, Ingrid Formor confirmed on the Flavours official Facebook page that no one was injured.

The restauranteur bought the restaurant in 2007, drawing influences from her various international travels, working in various restaurants and hotels overseas.

In her post Ingrid said she didn’t have a record of all future bookings and urged the community to please share the information with their friends, so that everyone was aware of the current situation.

Clients can follow the Flavours Restaurant Facebook page for more information on when the restaurant will be up and running again.

Some of the messages read as follows:

“Sending you and your team HUGE love and support. You will build back better and survive this terrible shock…let us know how we can help.”

“That is sad. Wishing you strength with your recovery. All the best.”

“I’m devastated for you and your team Ingrid! But so grateful the entire team is OK – because you are all Flavours, not the building! Sending love and support.”
