SCAM: Saps will not request payment for employment

Police warn not to hand over any money for promises of employment.

The public is warned not to fall prey to a scam where a person promises employment at Saps.

Police spokesman Captain Petros Mpinge said the scam involves one being requested to deposit cash into a money market account, whereupon one would receive uniforms to commence work.

“Do not hand over money,” he warned. “Saps will not request any payment for employment.”
