Man turns gun on himself after shooting two women dead in Harding

The motive for the shooting is unknown and police investigations are continuing.

Two women were shot dead in Harding CBD on August 4. Reports indicate that a 30-year-old man shot the women and then turned the gun on himself.

Police spokesperson Captain Ntathu Ndlovu said Harding police are investigating two counts of murder and an inquest into the incident.

“The man allegedly shot dead two women, aged 27 and 40, and then turned the gun on himself. The motive is unknown at this stage, and investigations leading up to the incident and matters surrounding the incident are under way,” said Ndlovu.
