Residents urged to use water sparingly – Ugu

The entire district's water supply systems will be affected by the current Stage 6 loadshedding.

Ugu District Municipality is urging residents to use their water sparingly as the district will be experiencing Stage 6 loadshedding, which will have an effect on water supply.

The district municipality sent out a notice on Monday, February 20 morning cautioning that the stage 6 loadshedding will be ongoing till further notice.

“All Ugu District Municipality systems will take a noticeable strain, and this is as all systems across the district will have a minimum of 8 hours of downtime, excluding the start-up time each system needs every time electrical power supply is restored.

“We appeal to the customers to use water sparingly during this period,” read the notice.
