The community is encouraged to get involved with this AfriForum branch in order to make a real difference.
Safety equipment, including bulletproof jackets, spotlights, first aid bags, vehicle magnets, cones and pepper spray were recently acquired by the Lower South Coast branch of AfriForum to equip members of the neighbourhood watch to protect the community more efficiently.
“AfriForum’s neighbourhood watch plays a crucial role in crime prevention, and is increasingly more active in protecting the community. Therefore, this equipment is essential,” said Christo Stoltz, AfriForum’s chairman for the Lower South Coast neighbourhood watch.
“The branch aims to expand its safety equipment even further in the future,” said Theuns Boshoff, AfriForum’s chairman for the branch.
“AfriForum is part of the South African Police Service’s (Saps) provincial rural safety committee and is working well together. Three-monthly meetings are held discussing problems and solutions,” says Eugene van Aswegen, provincial coordinator.
The community is encouraged to get involved with this AfriForum branch in order to make a real difference and expand the Lower South Coast branch: SMS ‘Lower South Coast’ to 45267 (R1).
