Take note of Ugu’s new banking details
Customers may use the old bank account until March 30, 2023.
The Ugu District Municipality has changed its banking details, effective from March 1, 2023.
Customers are urged to ensure that they update their records so that all future transactions from their side are credited to the new account of the municipality.
The details of the current account of the Ugu District Municipality are:

Account name: Consumer Deposit Account
Account type: Business Current Account

Account No: 053299833
Account payments can be made at Standard Bank branches, and online via EFT.
Ugu District Municipality will be added as a predefined beneficiary on the bank directory and your allocated municipal account number must be used as a reference.
Although the municipality has gone live effective from March 2023, customers may use the old bank account until March 30, 2023.
During the period of transition (March to April), the municipality will be able to identify and allocate payments made to the old account.
