Heaps of sand used to block entrance to Umdoni municipal office in Scottburgh

It is believed, the illegal blockage of various municipal offices and work sites have been carried out by certain members of the community.

As per information received from Umdoni Municipality news on Facebook, the municipal offices are closed today (March 22) due to the illegal blockage of various municipal offices and work sites by certain members of the community.

At the municipality in Scottburgh, in particular, heaps of sand were used to block the entrance gate of the building.

The offices are expected to re-open tomorrow (March 23).
