Pensioner receives assistance from hospice
The man received a bed pan, body creams to help prevent bed sores, a blanket, some body wash and lotion and a few other items.
Bongani Nhlala, a loyal community worker and helper, recently contacted Khanya Hospice to assist a man in his neighbourhood in dire need of help.
The man is a pensioner who had a hip operation and battles to walk every day. Also, he has to use an ablution block outside of his house which is another struggle.
Hospice came to the rescue and gave the man a bed pan, body creams to help prevent bed sores, a blanket, some body wash and lotion and a few other items including a small food parcel.
Bongani was grateful for the help received and he was also taught how he can make a difference in the man’s life with a few do’s and don’ts on how to care for patients such as this one.
