Bullets fly in Gamalakhe leaving two people dead

The incident shocked motorists and pedestrians in the area.

Two people were killed during a shootout near an intersection in Gamalakhe early this morning.

Gamalakhe is about 15 kilometres inland from Margate.

The area was cordoned off and police and emergency services were on the scene.

It’s unclear at this stage what transpired, and the Herald is waiting an official police report.
