Among them, Trafalgar Beach has retained its Blue Flag Status for the 2022/2023 season. It has also stamped its longevity in the programme – 11 consecutive years.
The internationally recognised Blue Flag programme is an eco-award given to beaches that meet strict standards of excellence in safety, cleanliness, provision of amenities, environmental information and management.
This Blue Flag Beach is part of a Marine Protected Area so snorkellers and divers can view underwater fossil beds dating back 90 million years.
